INFORMATION: Derived from the Sumerian Abzu. In the Babylonian creation epic Enuma Elis, Apsu is killed while sleeping by Enki, who establishes his own abode above the deeps. Apsu's death triggered the cosmic challenge between the forces of Marduk and Tiamat
